Early Voting News Flash

Three days into the election season and Windcrest already has DRAMA!! After only 2 whole days the nonsense has begun. It seems by Wednesday Mrs. Jacobi had enough of the strained armistice so she lobbed her bombshell. The background concerning Mrs. Jacobi and last year’s election is important to explain what happened at the poll yesterday.

A year ago, during voting Mrs. Jacobi claimed she was assaulted at the polling site. She called the police, filed charges, and then showed up in a neck brace. The case was filed in Windcrest Municipal Court as a Class C misdemeanor. There was a court appearance, and from what we have ascertained from his attorney they were told that Windcrest was not going pursue the case, and it would be transferred to Bexar County for action by the District Attorney’s office if they chose to pursue it. The case has been disregarded until Mrs. Jacobi tried to breathe life into it yesterday.
At about 4:00pm while this gentleman was standing in the parking lot of Takas Park the sheriff on duty approached him and was conducting a civil and seemingly calm conversation. At no time did BCSO appear threatened If she had, I am sure she would have called for help. Dan Reese was recording the interview at the request of the gentleman being questioned and with the expressed permission of the BCSO. During the interview The WPD officers responded, “Code 3” (as they should have to a report of an officer in trouble but that response increases the potential for accidents do to the speed involved). It became apparent that the Bexar County Officer was not in distress, and she had the entire situation under control. Additionally, since there were 4 WPD officers who responded, Windcrest was left without police for a time due to a false 911 call. There was an incident that was similar last year when Jake Jacobi called the police to the Reese Home when they were not needed. Additionally, after the fact, it was reported that the BCSO dealt with the entire matter in a very professional and respectful manner. One must wonder why a call was made to Windcrest PD relaying false information.
That is not the only problem with this whole situation. What caused the mayhem yesterday? Well that one we can answer. It seems that, yesterday, more than a year after the initial incident, Mrs. Jacobi went to an attorney and signed an affidavit stating she was “in fear for her safety”. She alleged no current incident on which to base this fear. Her only complaint was the alleged assault from last year. Here is the rub … On September 22, 2017 in a Herald article concerning the decision to move the election from Takas Park to a public school right down the street, Mrs. Jacobi was quoted as saying, “despite the incident that she feels safe at the park and wants polling to remain there”
Additionally, the Temporary Restraining Order requires the gentleman to stay 1000 yards away from the Jacobi’s. Here we have another issue. The man being accused is a Windcrest Voter, in fact after checking the records, he exercised his right the very first day of early voting. Mrs. Jacobi, who claims in her affidavit “to be working at the Takas Windcrest City Park polling place during the 2017 General Election” has not yet voted in this election. In fact, after some research, there is no indication the Mrs. Jacobi has ever voted in any election in the United States. Why would it be necessary for her to be “working the poll” if she hasn’t ever bothered to vote?

If history is any indication the antics at Takas Park have only begun. It seems like those folks clad in black and white, sporting their black and white signs, really LOVE the shades of gray!!!

Street Repair Sham

Noticed long overdue road repair on Midcrown this week. Figured the street committee was trying to save face and actually repair some streets.
Those nice thoughts melted when I viewed the actual repairs.  LOOK. just after the patch the street is crumbling and  is now a Whoop De Do at 30 mpr.
Not sure what to call this, it's Not a repair, not even a good Patch.  If this was your driveway, you would call it a Sham.
